Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve answered the most common ones below! For service-specific details, head over to our SERVICES page.

  • Cosmetic tattoo, also referred to as permanent makeup, is the process of depositing color pigment into the upper layers of the skin by either a hand held tool or a rotary tattoo pen to enhance one’s look.  Both uses sterile, one time use, disposable needles to produce the desired look.

  • I do not provide service to anyone under 18 years of age, is pregnant or nursing, has diabetes, glaucoma, any skin diseases, keloids, transmittable skin conditions, skin cancer, hemophiliac, healing disorders, allergic to pigmentation and makeup, rashes or blister on treated area.  Please refer to DISQUALIFICATIONS on selected service for full list.

  • This varies per individual depending on one’s skin type, body chemistry, and technique chosen. Color boosts are recommended to maintain your brows/lips/eyeliner/smp.

  • Full care instructions are emailed to clients following confirmation of deposit. You can also access them on under “CARE INSTRUCTIONS” on the selected service page.

  • Pain threshold vary from person to person. However, a highly effective, topical anesthetic cream and gel are used prior and during your procedure to minimize pain as much as possible.  I take effort to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible during the procedure. Pain sensitivity is also heightened during your menstrual cycle.

  • Your semi-permanent makeup will appear darker and more intense during the initial healing stages.  This will gradually lighten during the complete healing process.  Redness and swelling is minimal and should dissipate within 24-48 hours following.

Peeling and scabbing is expected for:

7-10 days following procedure for brows/eyeliner

    5-7 days for lips/smp

All clients will be sent home with full detailed aftercare instructions and aftercare kit.

  • I use only pigments that are specifically designed for permanent cosmetic.  Pigments used meet both USA and EU guidelines. If you are concerned about any allergies, please inquire about patch testing prior to booking your appointment.  An ingredient breakdown and SDS (safety data sheet) of the pigment can also be provided for you to present to your doctor for any allergies testing if needed.

  • Absolutely.  I only use single use, disposable needles and supplies.  All needles and supplies are discarded safely afterwards.  Workstation is thoroughly disinfected and sterilized with medical grade disinfectant before opening and after each procedure through the day.

  • Because ink is deposited in the very upper layer of skin (dermis), it does allow some flexibility for color or shape change to some extent. This is why we spend a lot of time shaping and working with you to ensure that you are satisfied with the proposed shape prior to actually implanting pigment. We will allow you to have as much control over the procedure as possible, so there’s little room for error. If you do not like the decision you made, the touch-up can be cancelled and the pigmented area naturally fades away over time. If you aren’t 100% sure you would benefit from this procedure, please opt for a more temporary option

  • Cash, zelle, venmo, and all major credit cards.  Credit cards will incur a 3% service fee. No checks or any other payment apps are accepted.
